Research Abstract:
Silica-based nanospheres and nanowires have attracted attention because of their potential applications in nanodevices, specifically as sensors and catalysts. Using a series of moderate temperature syntheses, the smaller nanospheres (Fig. 1) have agglomerated to wire-like configurations (Fig. 2).
